At the James Harner Group, we take ethics and full disclosure VERY seriously. We know that buying a home is serious business. We don’t play games, No hide and seek buyer’s fees. Not any “name that fee” by another name. Out group services are included as our standard operating procedure.
Fees are charged to buyers and sellers over and above the normal commission fee by every other Real Estate company that is my competition. These fees could range from $150-$1000, and while the details of these fees are explained in the fine lines of full-disclosure contracts, buyers and sellers often look only at the commission fee and grab the “cheapest” commission which ends up to be no bargain at all.
Some tough truths are evident everywhere: “Pay me now…or pay me later. If it’s too good to be true, it usually is.” Newcomers, lacking complete information or understanding, as well as more experienced buyers and sellers, can easily be led into making unwise and costly decisions involving thousands of dollars. You may find these “charges” itemized as extra charges, hidden or re-named in the contracts or other documents at most other agencies.
